Recap: 2025 USI Open Golf Tournament & Charity Event

On Thursday, September 25th, we proudly hosted the 2025 USI Open Charity Golf Tournament at Stoney Creek Golf Club in Whitsett, NC — and what an incredible day it was! From the first tee-off at 9:00 AM to the final awards reception, the event brought together our partners, friends, and industry leaders for a day filled with competition, camaraderie, and purpose.

A Day on the Course

Players enjoyed a lively Captain’s Choice/Scramble format, with teams competing in contests including Longest Drive and several Closest to the Pin challenges. Friendly competition kept the energy high, while mulligans and raffle tickets added even more excitement to the day.

Generous prizes — including drivers, range finders, golf apparel, gift cards, a bottle of whisky, and even a USI Stone Bench Kit — went home with our winners, and every participant helped make the day special.

Food, Drinks & Fellowship

A huge thank you to Red’s Home & Garden for providing a fantastic lunch, as well as Heritage Landscape Supply Group and R.H. Barringer Distributing for keeping everyone refreshed with beverages throughout the day. The post-round reception was the perfect way to close out the tournament, celebrate our winners, and connect with partners.

Playing for a Greater Cause

Most importantly, the USI Open once again reminded us what it’s all about: supporting the fight against ALS. In honor of our dear friend Jeff McKinney, donations from players, raffle entries, and sponsors came together to benefit ALS United North Carolina. Your generosity will directly support those battling ALS and their families — thank you for helping us make a difference.
